Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst focused within Epic Contracts to join our Managed Care team. This role serves as the primary technical and operational resource for contract modeling, reimbursement configuration, and variance workflow support across Revenue Cycle, Payer Relations, Finance, and IT teams.

The ideal candidate will possess or be wiling to learn a deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, payer contract interpretation, Epic Resolute Contract Management functionality. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate expected reimbursement calculations, supporting contract negotiations, and maintaining contract integrity across hospital and professional billing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible forEpic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) contract build including interpreting, building, migrating and updating complex payer contracts (Commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid) on the Epic Contract Management platform.Collect, build, and maintain third-party and government payer Expected Reimbursement Contracts
  • Maintain contract builds and timely resolution of build errors
  • Develop and implement Epic contract maintenance processes to ensure contracts are updated accurately and timely
  • Maintain and document the status of Epic contract build and applicable work queues
  • Complete Epic contract modeling extracts that are used in contract negotiations
  • Primary Epic and IT resource for Contract Management and variance workflows for Payer Relations and Revenue Cycle teams
  • Interpret financial contracts to build logic within Epic Resolute for accurate expected reimbursement calculations
  • Conduct testing to validate accuracy of contract build maintenance and updates

What\'s Available:

  • Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)
  • Monday-Friday core business hours
  • Remote work options for residents in WI or MI only, with occasional need to work onsite for support initiatives in either La Crosse, WI or Green Bay, WI.
  • Immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) is not available for this position.
  • Based on experience, this position may also be filled at an Application Analyst or Senior Application Analyst level.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or a related field or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Experience: At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications:Epic Resolute PB or HB Billing Claims certification, Preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, payer contracts, and revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial payer reimbursement structures.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex contractual language and translate it into system configuration requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and testing skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Payer Relations, and IT stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
