Job description

Epic Revenue Cycle Director – Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle Director to serve as a strategic partner to client Revenue Cycle and executive leadership teams. The role requires leading large‑scale Epic implementation projects, driving quality and efficiency improvements, and fostering collaboration across Clinical, IT, Operational, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to client Revenue Cycle and executive leadership teams.
  • Lead or support application, functional, and cross‑functional Revenue Cycle workstreams.
  • Maintain integrated project plans, timelines, and implementation deliverables.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Revenue Cycle, Clinical, IT, Operational, and third‑party vendor teams.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and escalations using established PMO methodologies.
  • Drive RAID log management and resolution processes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, operational workgroups, design sessions, and executive steering committees.
  • Support status reporting, KPI tracking, project governance, and performance management activities.
  • Ensure alignment with Epic implementation methodology, organizational standards, and best practices.
  • Provide implementation guidance and recommendations to support successful Revenue Cycle transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams and third‑party vendors to ensure seamless integration and workflow design.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Recent Epic implementation experience in a healthcare provider environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale Revenue Cycle implementation projects.
  • Epic certification required in Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Strong project leadership and program management experience.
  • Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate decision‑making, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Experience with project planning, issue management, risk mitigation, and governance processes.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) certification.
  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) certification.
  • Strong Epic Front‑End Revenue Cycle expertise and significant Epic implementation leadership experience.
  • Prior healthcare consulting experience.
  • Experience partnering with executive leaders, Revenue Cycle Directors, and operational stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle optimization, workflow redesign, and organizational change management.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The estimated base hourly rate for Epic Senior Consultants varies based on experience, project engagement, and client expectations. Actual pay will depend on skills, certifications, years of experience, market conditions, and required travel.
