Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Data Analyst with expertise in BI & Dashboard Development, Advanced SQL Querying, and integration with Healthcare and EMR data systems. The primary goal is to design reports and migrate legacy systems to Power BI, while ensuring data integrity across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • BI & Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualization solutions across BI platforms, focusing on migrating legacy MicroStrategy reports into Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL Querying: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL code-including stored procedures, views, cursors, window functions, and temporary tables-to support reporting and analytics.
  • Data Warehouse & Platform Integration: Assist in overhauling data extraction pipelines from Epic Clarity into the data warehouse, and support the GuideHealth platform rollout by connecting data streams and guiding third-party integration teams.
  • Healthcare & EMR Data Validation: Analyze, validate, and reconcile large datasets across Epic EMR, claims, and clinical systems to guarantee data integrity and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Gap Analysis: Interface directly with clinical and operational leadership to elicit core requirements, conduct gap assessments between platforms, and refine reporting needs.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain detailed technical documentation, mapping logic, and data definitions to ensure seamless hand-offs and workflow continuity.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of advanced hands-on experience with SQL, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries, stored procedures, views, cursors, window functions, temp tables, and begin/end statements.
  • 3+ years experience with BI platforms with a strong preference for Power BI.
  • 3+ years experience analyzing healthcare data, claims, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Epic (Clarity).
  • 3+ years experience with Advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables and analytical functions.

Skills

Additional Requirements
  • Work Location & Model: Hybrid work model, with on-site work in New Haven, CT. Initial schedule is 3 days/week on-site for the first 90 days, scaling down to 2 days/week thereafter. Standard hours start at approximately 8:30 AM.
  • Target Start Date: Late August / Early September, to allow overlap prior to employee leave on September 14.
