What You Will Do:

The Epic Data and Value-Based Care Analytics Analyst will lead the interpretation, extraction, modeling, validation, and governance of Epic data used within an external value-based care analytics platform.

This role will serve as the primary bridge between Epic reporting environments, claims data, existing analytics platforms, and the Azure-based VBC solution. The architect will work across the full platform lifecycle, beginning with current-state data discovery and reconciliation and continuing through source selection, data modeling, pipeline development, calculation validation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Epic Clarity and Cogito, working knowledge of Caboodle, advanced SQL skills, and an understanding of population health or value-based care analytics. The individual must be able to translate Epic data structures and client-specific configuration into reliable, traceable data products that can be integrated with claims and other external data sources.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, healthcare administration, analytics, engineering, or a related field.

  • 5 years' experience working with Epic Clarity and the Epic Cogito reporting ecosystem.

  • Advanced SQL development and troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and use complex Epic tables, joins, identifiers, date fields, and status logic.

  • Experience performing data lineage, source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, and record-level validation.

  • Experience interpreting client-specific Epic configuration and operational workflows.

  • Experience working with large healthcare data sets in a relational database environment.

  • Ability to translate technical data structures into clear business and analytical definitions.

  • Experience partnering with data engineers, architects, application analysts, business stakeholders, and clinical SMEs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work directly with client executives, technical leaders, analysts, and operational stakeholders.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Epic certification or accreditation in Clarity, Cogito, Caboodle, Healthy Planet, or a related reporting area.

  • Experience with Epic Caboodle and Epic-delivered analytical content.

  • Experience with Healthy Planet, population health, accountable care, payer analytics, or value-based care.

  • Experience integrating Epic data with medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility, attribution, or payer-supplied data.

  • Experience with Exasol or another enterprise analytical database.

  • Experience using DBeaver, SQL Server Management Studio, or comparable SQL development tools.

  • Experience supporting an Azure-based healthcare data or analytics platform.

  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or related technologies.

  • Experience developing or validating quality, utilization, risk, cost, or shared-savings calculations.

  • Understanding of provider, patient, department, facility, and payer master-data management.

  • Experience supporting migration from a legacy analytical platform to a modern cloud-based architecture.

The annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00-$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
