Job description
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for BILH Medical Group, the VP, Specialty Care Operations oversees all aspects of the BILH Specialty Care (BILHSC) clinical and administrative enterprise in a dyad partnership with the BILHSC Chief Medical Officer. This includes quality, safety, patient experience, colleague engagement, clinical program development, budgeting and financial management, career development and performance management of administrative staff and clinicians across more than 50 practices spanning 30+ clinical specialties across multiple regions and care settings.
A defining feature of this role is the breadth and complexity of its external relationships. Within the Community Division, the VP, Specialty Care Operations will collaborate closely with local hospitals, including BID Plymouth, Mount Auburn Hospital, Anna Jaques Hospital, Beverly Hospital, Winchester Hospital, and others, to align specialty program strategy, physician and APP engagement, quality, and clinical standards. These relationships are essential to coordinating specialty referral networks, managing employed specialist alignment, and advancing service line development across the integrated system.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Oversee all aspects of practice operations across BILHSC. The VP must be prepared to manage credentialing, on-call coverage, hospital-based scheduling, and disciplinary processes in this layered environment. (essential)
-
Support outmigration reduction and growth strategies. Partner with BILHMG and hospital leadership on service line expansion, ambulatory development, and specialty-specific initiatives to reduce controllable outmigration and grow market share. (essential)
-
Lead budget management for BILHSC. In partnership with BILHSC and BILHMG leadership, oversee the budget process including volume, revenue, and expense accountability across all specialty practices. Develop and implement variance mitigation plans as needed. (essential)
-
