Job description

This is an intermediate-level Epic Application Analyst position who is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and support of the Epic Systems software within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Epic applications to meet the organization's clinical and operational needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Included all job functions from Epic Application Analyst I
  • Epic Systems Implementation:
    • Lead and participate in the implementation of Epic modules and applications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design solutions.
    • Configure and customize Epic applications based on organizational needs.
  • System Maintenance and Support:
    • Provide ongoing support for Epic applications, including issue resolution and troubleshooting.
    • Perform routine system updates, patches, and maintenance activities.
    • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on Epic applications.
    • Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with clinical and operational teams to understand their requirements and workflows.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Epic applications with other systems and technologies.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and accuracy of Epic applications.
    • Participate in system upgrades and new releases, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • BA/BS required with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience or 4 years of relevant work experience in healthcare maybe substituted.
  • Epic certification in at least one or more relevant modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Prelude, Cadence).
  • Previous experience as an Epic Application Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
  • Ability to work on rotational after hours and Saturdays as needed.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (JIRA) ticketing system (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

LANGUAGE:

  • Ability to read and write English fluently is required.
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset.

STATUS:

  • This is a FLSA Exempt position.
  • This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
