The Epic Beaker Analyst III provides enterprise-level leadership for the design, build, and sustainment of Epic Beaker solutions across multiple laboratories and regions. This role defines configuration standards, validation strategies, and integration frameworks that align laboratory, operational, and financial workflows into a unified, high-performing platform.
The Beaker Analyst III collaborates with enterprise architecture, clinical operations, and revenue management teams to optimize the order-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring solutions deliver accurate results, compliant billing, and seamless data exchange. This position provides input on technical and strategic governance, change management, and innovation in laboratory configuration workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Direct enterprise-scale Beaker design, integration, and optimization projects.
  • Define governance, templates, and configuration best practices for CP and AP.
  • Partner with Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Laboratory Operations leadership to align build with financial accuracy and reimbursement goals.
  • Oversee validation strategy, regression frameworks, and release planning.
  • Provide architectural guidance on interoperability (HL7/FHIR, middleware, automation).
  • Lead issue-resolution and root-cause analysis for enterprise incidents.
  • Coach analysts and contribute to workforce capability development.

Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
  • 7 + years Epic Beaker experience; at least 2 enterprise implementations or consolidations.
  • Active dual certification in Epic Beaker CP and AP.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs improving clinical, financial, and operational KPIs.
  • Expertise in interface design, instrument connectivity, and downstream billing logic.

Preferred Work Experience:
  • Experience with enterprise data analytics, automation robotics, or AI-driven quality monitoring.
  • Strong vendor-management and stakeholder-engagement experience.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in computer science, medical technology or related field or equivalent work experience (Required)

Required:
  • Active Epic Beaker CP and AP certification
  • Travel 25% - about one week a month

Preferred:
  • Epic Bridges, Orders, Resolute certifications strongly preferred
