Job description

HVAC Lead Installer
Location: Newton, MA
Pay Rate: $35–$48/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours (overtime and on-call as needed)

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join a growing team supporting residential and light commercial projects throughout Massachusetts. This role is responsible for leading HVAC installation work, ensuring high-quality system installs, and managing job sites in coordination with customers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, split systems, ductless systems, and related HVAC equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
  • Manage job sites and oversee installation projects from start to finish
  • Perform brazing, soldering, and minor sheet metal fabrication as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and subcontractors in the field
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of HVAC installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Ability to braze, solder, and read wiring/controls schematics
  • Experience reading blueprints and construction documents
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • EPA 1,2,3 Certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
  • Strong communication and job site leadership skills
