What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Eos implementer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an EOS Implementer, you need a solid background in business management, organizational development, and process facilitation, often supported by experience in leadership or consulting roles. Familiarity with EOS tools and frameworks, as well as certification from EOS Worldwide, is typically required. Exceptional communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills help guide leadership teams through change and foster accountability. These competencies are essential for successfully helping organizations adopt and sustain the EOS model for long-term growth and operational excellence.

What is an Eos?

In the workplace, 'Eos' often refers to the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a set of concepts and tools designed to help businesses improve efficiency, accountability, and growth. EOS is a framework used by leadership teams to clarify their vision, gain traction, and foster a healthy organizational culture. It provides tools for setting goals, solving issues, and maintaining effective meetings, helping companies run more smoothly. The term 'Eos' could also refer to job titles such as EOS Implementer, professionals who assist organizations in adopting this system. Understanding the context is important, as 'Eos' may have different meanings in other industries.

What are some typical challenges faced by Eos when collaborating with cross-functional teams?

Enterprise Operations Specialists (Eos) often work closely with cross-functional teams such as IT, finance, and customer support. A common challenge is aligning diverse team priorities and communication styles to ensure smooth operational workflows. Eos professionals must be adaptable, skilled at conflict resolution, and proactive in sharing updates to keep projects on track. Successfully navigating these dynamics helps improve process efficiency and fosters stronger collaboration across departments.

Job description

Are you a visionary builder who thrives on turning big ideas into reality? EoS Fitness is looking for a dynamic Procurement Director to step into a newly created, high-impact leadership position. This is a unique, ground-floor opportunity to architect, scale, and lead a centralized procurement function - building a best-in-class team, maximizing process efficiencies, and implementing a modern technology stack from the ground up.

Collaborating directly with business units and EoS leadership, you will align sourcing initiatives with our aggressive growth goals to drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and maximize value across our portfolio of 250+ gyms. If you have deep procurement expertise, strong leadership credentials, and a passion for transforming a department into a highly sought-after strategic partner, we want you on our team.

Department & Reporting

  • Department: Facilities
  • Reports To: Executive Vice President of Facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development of the team, processes, and technology stack for EoS Fitness's newly created Procurement department.
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish short- and long-term procurement strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned to enterprise growth goals.
  • Lead the EoS Fitness strategic sourcing program, including complex sourcing efforts with preferred and high-value vendors across CapEx, OpEx, indirect, and direct spend categories.
  • Manage spend analytics across the Procurement team; use data to influence cross-functional partners, build strong ROI cases, and drive measurable cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with EoS Fitness leadership and strategic supplier partners; serve as the executive escalation point for key vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate, structure, and manage high-value contracts (equipment, facilities, technology, professional services, MRO, etc.), ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance.
  • Build and execute the Procurement technology roadmap - selecting and implementing modern procure-to-pay (P2P), contract lifecycle management (CLM), and spend analytics platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Ivalua, GEP).
  • Drive Procurement team engagement across EoS Fitness, embedding the function as a value-added strategic partner to Operations, Facilities, Marketing, IT, HR, and Finance.
  • Communicate strategies, goals, challenges, and results clearly to the EoS Fitness executive leadership team and Board, when needed.
  • Build a best-in-class procurement organization by hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Establish governance, policy, and compliance frameworks (including supplier diversity, sustainability, and risk management programs) appropriate for a multi-state, PE-backed operator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and tactical responsibilities required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience, including experience in fast-paced, multi-state, multi-site environments (retail, hospitality, fitness, restaurant, or similar preferred).
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience with a proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing procurement or sourcing teams from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated success architecting or transforming a centralized procurement function, including standing up processes, governance, policies, and technology.
  • Deep strategic sourcing expertise across indirect and direct categories - including facilities, equipment (CapEx), professional services, IT/SaaS, marketing, MRO, and supplies.
  • Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience structuring complex, high-value agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Hands-on experience selecting and implementing procurement technology platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Ivalua, GEP) and integrating with ERP systems.
  • Strong spend analytics and financial acumen, with advanced Excel proficiency and experience using reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to influence executive decision-making.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives within procurement or supply chain.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT, Marketing, and HR.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or pre-IPO environment is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent judgment, executive communication, and organizational skills, with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field required; MBA, CPSM, or CPM certification preferred.
  • Alignment with EoS Fitness Core Values.

Location & Work Environment

  • Hybrid with flexibility to support teams across multiple states and time zones.
  • Preferred candidate locations: Greater Phoenix area.
  • Occasional travel will be required for team connection, supplier site visits, club visits, and key business initiatives (estimated 15-25%).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual bonus target: 20% of base salary, based on company and individual performance.
  • Long-term incentive (LTIP) eligible, aligned with EoS Fitness's PE-backed leadership compensation program.
  • Opportunity to step into a highly visible executive leadership role and shape the future of Procurement at scale across a 250+ unit, multi-state operator.
  • Collaborative, high-energy culture with leaders who value innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Company-sponsored life insurance and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Competitive paid time off and holiday programs.
  • Complimentary gym membership for you and one eligible family member.
  • Discounts on personal training and in-club merchandise, including supplements.Â
