Position Overview

Ataero is seeking a Senior Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Systems Engineer to support PMA-272 Airborne Electronic Attack Systems. The selected candidate will provide engineering expertise supporting the development, integration, testing, sustainment, and modernization of EO/IR sensing and countermeasure capabilities across Naval Aviation platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for EO/IR systems, sensors, targeting systems, and infrared countermeasure capabilities.
  • Support requirements development, system integration, engineering analysis, and technical risk assessments.
  • Participate in system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Evaluate system performance, deficiencies, and modernization initiatives.
  • Support developmental and operational test activities.
  • Prepare engineering analyses, technical reports, and acquisition documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years supporting DoD aviation, EO/IR, sensor, or countermeasure systems.
  • Experience supporting NAVAIR, Naval Aviation, or military aviation programs.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Military operational aviation experience highly desirable.
