Job description

We are seeking an experienced EO/IR Systems Test Engineer with hands-on expertise in electro-optical/infrared imaging systems, optical design, and sensor testing . The engineer will perform lab and field testing of VIS/NIR, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR imaging systems and support optical design, image quality analysis, system integration, and product development.

Must-Have Skills
  • 3+ years of EO/IR optical and imaging design & test experience
  • Hands-on experience testing EO/IR sensor systems
  • Experience with VIS/NIR/SWIR/MWIR/LWIR imaging technologies
  • Strong optical engineering background
  • Hands-on ZEMAX experience for optical design and tolerance analysis
  • Experience with optical components such as lenses, prisms, filters, and Cassegrain systems
  • Experience with radiometric analysis and image quality evaluation
  • Experience creating DVT test plans, procedures, and test reports
  • EO/IR sensor and system integration experience
  • Experience with requirements, specifications, and compliance matrices
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • BS/MS in Optical Engineering, Optomechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or related field
Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform EO/IR imaging sensor and gimbal system testing in laboratory and field environments.
  • Perform optical design and tolerance analysis using ZEMAX .
  • Conduct radiometric analysis and troubleshoot sensor/system performance.
  • Develop DVT plans, test procedures, analyze test data, and prepare reports.
  • Support optical subsystem specifications, requirements, and design reviews.
  • Support NPI, DFM, and system integration activities.
  • Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams through PDR, CDR, TRR, and LRIP stages.
  • Track requirements compliance, risks, and mitigation activities.
Preferred: Defense/aerospace experience and ability to obtain required security clearance. Application Question(s):
