Position Overview

Envision Psychotherapy Center is seeking dedicated and passionate mental health therapists to join our team in full-time remote positions. As a mental health counselor, you will play a crucial role in promoting mental health and well-being within our diverse patient population.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while reaching patients in the Topeka area. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of professionals dedicated to improving the mental health of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for new and returning patients to identify specific therapeutic needs, while utilizing standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop personalized and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and goals of each patient, incorporating therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to express their thoughts and feelings openly.
  • Organize and lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups that address prevalent mental health issues, fostering a community among participants.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care and ensure that all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.
  • Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, using de-escalation techniques and immediate coping strategies to assist patients in distress.
  • Educate patients on various mental health conditions, clarifying available treatment options and community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in their care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring quick access to necessary information for follow-up care.
  • Actively participate in regular team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and staying abreast of the latest research in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on a diverse clientele, from children to adults, who face various mental health challenges. By employing a compassionate and culturally competent approach, you will help these individuals navigate their unique experiences and work towards improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
  • Proficient understanding of mental health disorders and a strong grasp of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to a variety of populations, ensuring inclusivity in treatment efforts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and rapport with patients.
  • Strong ethical judgment and commitment to professional boundaries in therapy.
  • Proficient with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and data sharing.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience in a community health setting.
