We're seeking a motivated Lab Technician II to join our environmental laboratory team in Round Rock, TX.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional to expand their expertise in analytical testing while contributing to accurate, timely, and high-quality results. This role combines hands-on sample preparation and analysis with instrumentation, data review, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is technically capable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a collaborative, quality-focused laboratory team.


What You'll Do

  • Perform sample preparation, analytical testing, and quality control activities in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment, including routine preventive maintenance
  • Review and interpret analytical data, perform calculations, and investigate or escalate discrepancies, unusual findings, and out-of-control conditions
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, enter results in LIMS, and prepare reports as required
  • Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize workloads, meet turnaround expectations, and support cross-training
  • Contribute to audits, corrective actions, SOP revisions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-supplied laboratory, including glassware, inventory, and equipment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of professional hands-on analytical laboratory experience, preferably within environmental testing
  • Demonstrated experience with analytical instrumentation, standardized test methods, and interpretation of analytical data across multiple techniques
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for laboratory operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS
