For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York's largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.
We are searching for a Environmental Services Aide to join our agency. We have positions open in various locations throughout Capital District.
Environmental Services Aides Specialist performs the functions and carries out the responsibilities for Laundry and/or Housekeeping services
  • Maintain cleanliness of buildings to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and people we serve
  • Complete special cleaning projects as assigned
  • Demonstrated competence in functioning with and around patients and medical equipment
  • Follow and maintain proper chemical mixtures, usage, storage and labeling

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Laundry and/or housekeeping experience and/or training preferred
