Job Summary

We’re looking for an Environmental Lead to lead Chromalloy’s environmental remediation and sustainability programs across our global operations. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the company’s subject matter expert on environmental risk management, remediation strategy, ESG initiatives, and sustainability reporting. Your work will help advance Chromalloy’s commitment to environmental stewardship while supporting our mission of enabling a more sustainable future for aviation and power generation.

Location: Hybrid role. Candidates must reside near a Chromalloy facility. Major U.S. locations include Tampa, FL; Orangeburg, NY; Windsor, CT; Newnan, GA; San Diego, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Carson City, NV; and San Antonio, TX

Travel: Up to 30% travel required

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and oversee Chromalloy’s environmental remediation and sustainability programs.
  • Serve as the company subject matter expert for environmental remediation, ESG initiatives, and sustainability reporting.
  • Develop remediation strategies, manage project risks, and drive closure plans with regulators and stakeholders.
  • Manage environmental consultants and contractors to ensure effective project execution and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop budgets, track expenditures, and support financial forecasting for remediation programs.
  • Support implementation of Chromalloy’s sustainability strategy and long-term ESG objectives.
  • Identify and drive projects that improve energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas performance.
  • Develop and enhance sustainability metrics, reporting processes, and assurance readiness.
  • Lead development and publication of Chromalloy's annual ESG Report.
  • Support customer, investor, and external stakeholder requests related to ESG performance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Partner with sites to establish sustainability objectives, targets, and improvement plans.
  • Monitor environmental regulations, emerging ESG requirements, and industry best practices to assess impacts on business operations.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Chromalloy's EH&S management system, policies, procedures, and training programs.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of environmental remediation, environmental compliance, or sustainability program experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex remediation projects, including regulator engagement and site closure strategies.
  • Experience managing budgets, consultants, contractors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, remediation processes, and environmental risk management.
  • Experience supporting sustainability, ESG, or environmental performance initiatives.
  • Strong technical writing, regulatory reporting, and document review skills.
  • Proficiency with environmental, EH&S, utility, or ESG reporting systems and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple sites and functions

 

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PG, SEP, CHRP, GRI, PMP, or ISO 14001/45001/50001 Lead Auditor.
  • Experience preparing ESG reports and supporting sustainability disclosures.
  • Familiarity with greenhouse gas accounting, emissions assurance reviews, and sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, industrial operations, or highly regulated environments.
