Job description

Job Overview


LaBella is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager for our Environmental Division in our Permitting & Compliance Department. The proper candidate should be self-sufficient, organized and have experience with Environmental Monitoring on large projects in New York. This position creates an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to establish themselves within a growing and stable company while working within a corporate culture that encourages professional growth in a positive environment.

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead a large Article VII project through construction and manage a group of Environmental Inspectors on the project. We are excited to hear what you could bring to our team and projects.
Hybrid (home/office) work schedules are available for this position.
Responsibilities

  • Manage an Article VII Electric Transmission Line Project from final permitting through construction including contract management, project change management, client management, etc.
  • Manage our Environmental Inspection Team on the project including coverage logistics, and providing project-specific support
  • Conduct field reviews with Monitoring Team to periodically audit sites and ensure compliance
  • Manage project schedules with a focus on proactive planning and critical path issue identification and mitigation
  • Work with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
  • Maintain and manage the client relationship
  • Prepare change orders for ongoing work and be accountable for project budgets and invoicing

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology
  • 8+ years of experience in Environmental Project Management and/or Monitoring on construction sites
  • Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for deliverables
  • Experience cost estimating and proposing projects
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Must be comfortable being a firm representative (i.e. maintain, pursue, and establish client business relationships)
  • Knowledge of New York local, state and federal regulations a plus
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
