Job Summary
The Programs Sr Manager Role: Plans, monitors, and leads the execution of internal programs from initiation through completion, with full accountability for technical, schedule and financial performance. - Leads or coordinates programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management on cross-functional teams spanning engineering, finance, contracts, operations and supply chain to achieve program objectives. - Monitors program metrics and provides regular updates to internal and external customers to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance; suggests and implements course corrections when required to achieve program objectives
This position may require International Travel.
This position can be located in Vermont or Saco, Maine.

Essential Functions
  • Has P&L responsibilities for specific program(s)
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Liaise with functional departments throughout the organization and tracks utilizationto ensure milestones are completed on time or in accordance with established standards.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities
Actively grows programs through follow-on work with existing customers and support for new opportunities. Builds and maintains strong relationships with government, military, prime contractors, and international customers. Identifies, assesses, and manages technical, financial, and schedule risks while tracking performance, forecasting, and regularly reporting metrics to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Discipline/Major: Engineering (desired) or Business/Finance
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities:Oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectivelypresentand communicate withcustomers, internal stakeholders and leaders. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.

Up to 25% travel likely.
Pay Range (USD)
$131,750.00 - $178,250.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
