Program Assistant- The Salvation Army

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. You willbe responsible for maintaining the integrity, philosophy, and standards of our effective rehabilitation program. This role is crucial in ensuring program compliance while supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey.

What You'll Do

Program Management

  • Enforce house rules and maintain overall centersecurity
  • Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facilitytours
  • Lead weekly housemeetings
  • Supervise medication calls and ensure properdocumentation
  • Respond to beneficiary inquiries andemergencies
  • Complete incident reports and SafeFromHarm documentation
  • Conduct regular bedchecks

Beneficiary Support

  • Implement and coordinate leisure timeactivities
  • Provide safe transportation whenneeded
  • Assist in resolving beneficiaryproblems
  • Train and supervise work therapyassignments
  • Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator
  • Administer drug and alcohol screening tests asrequired

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain daily reports and electronic dataentries
  • Document program violations and incidents

Required

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous managerial experiencepreferred
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Armyinsurance
