Responsibilities 

  • Manage Environmental and Safety for the Greencastle manufacturing facility. 
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs to comply with all federal, state and local regulations and company policies. 
  • Monitor environmental and safety regulations and manage safety training requirements as needed for all employees. 
  • Confer with and act as a resource to all Greencastle facility questions and problems relating to environmental, safety and industrial hygiene issues. 
  • Assist and collaborate with other departments such as, manufacturing, engineering, legal and executive management on developing and recommending safety, environmental and industrial hygiene programs. 
  • Direct Greencastle’s environmental sustainability and recycling programs. 
  • Oversee writing, renewing and updating environmental permits related to Air, Wastewater and Storm water.
  • Oversee/produce monthly and year-end Environmental reports, OSHA logs and sign documents, certify accuracy of audits, reports and laboratory analysis.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a four-year college degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or equivalent, including strong chemistry background or adequate job experience in environmental and safety (or equivalent experience)    
  • Ten years of prior experience in manufacturing safety and/or environmental relating to OSHA regulations, injury prevention, air emissions, wastewater treatment and hazardous waste disposal are necessary for this position.
  • In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are required with at least five years of management experience, above average PC skills and knowledge of technology are required.
