Job description

Reporting to the Senior Director of Environmental, as the Environmental Manager, you'll play a key role in driving environmental compliance and sustainability across multiple Conagra facilities. You will partner with plant teams to ensure operations meet all federal, state, and local regulations while advancing our commitment to environmental stewardship. Your leadership will help minimize environmental impacts, implement sustainability programs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Impact
  • Lead the implementation of the Corporate Environmental Management System and ensure consistent application across assigned sites.
  • Partner with facility teams to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and Conagra procedures; provide guidance on documentation, inspections, and regulatory expectations.
  • Identify environmental risks and support development of action plans that prioritize and remediate high-risk issues.
  • Assist with environmental assessments, internal reviews, and follow-up activities to ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for environmental control systems, including wastewater treatment, waste minimization, and resource-use programs.
  • Support capital planning by identifying environmental needs and coordinating with Corporate Engineering on compliance and sustainability requirements for new projects.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy and water conservation, and greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
  • Develop and deliver EMS and compliance-related training to site teams; coach environmental personnel to strengthen program execution.
  • Communicate program updates, risks, and performance metrics to plant leadership and the Senior Director of Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • Share best practices across facilities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned with Conagra's Performance System.
Your Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • 7+ years of experience in safety, health, environment, or engineering, including 3+ years of multi-site responsibility.
  • Experience engaging employees to implement environmental strategies across platforms.
  • Experience leading projects and presenting to all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry.
  • Willingness to travel 50%-60%.

Compensation

Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
