We're seeking a highly organized Project Manager to oversee client projects and service delivery for our environmental laboratory in Conroe, TX.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and client-focused professional with strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, proven experience supporting environmental laboratory operations or technical client accounts, and a commitment to delivering accurate, responsive, and high-quality service. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively manages multiple priorities and project timelines, and serves as a trusted liaison between clients and internal teams to support workflow coordination, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and overall client satisfaction.
Please Note: This is a Project Manager role that supports environmental testing, laboratory operations, and client project coordination. This is not an IT or software project management position .
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and project lead for assigned client accounts
  • Manage client accounts, project setup, reporting requirements, and documentation within LIMS, CRM, and related systems
  • Coordinate and oversee project workflows, priorities, and deliverables across field services, laboratory, and internal support teams
  • Monitor project timelines, turnaround times, and deliverables to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and client expectations are consistently met
  • Review work orders, reports, EDDs, invoices, and project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance prior to release
  • Communicate project updates, priorities, timelines, and issue resolution between clients and internal teams while proactively managing expectations
  • Maintain working knowledge of environmental laboratory services, regulatory programs, QA/QC requirements, analytical methods, and reporting standards
  • Support client onboarding activities, project planning discussions, client meetings, and laboratory tours as needed
  • Assist with sample coordination, bottle orders, pickups, subcontract coordination, and related project support activities
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities and contribute to process optimization, operational efficiency, and overall client satisfaction
  • Notify clients of results exceeding regulatory limits in accordance with company procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 1-2 years of experience managing client accounts, projects, or project workflows in a professional environment
  • Previous experience in an environmental, laboratory, or analytical testing environment strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferred

What this role is not :
  • An IT, software, or technical project management position
  • A systems implementation or Agile/Scrum role
  • A coding, development, or tech delivery job

Work Schedule & Travel
  • Full-time position following a standard Monday-Friday schedule
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed to support operational demands
  • Ability be able to travel locally for client visits, meetings, or training activities, as needed
