Job description

Job Summary

· Follow company quality assurance procedures

· Understand our security policies and assist with onsite contractor chaperoning & oversight

· Ensure that equipment and the entire facility are consistently well-maintained in a safe and organized condition

· Develop and implement safety company-de safety policies, procedures, and hazard control strategies

· Organize and deliver educational safety training, including emergency preparedness and proper equipment usage

· Inspect workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, & DOT regulations

· Conduct regular worksite safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards

· Collect samples of dust, gases or other materials to analyze exposure level for PPE mitigation practices and supplies

· Investigate safety accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures

· Suspend or modify hazardous activities or materials until safely managed

· Maintain detailed record of incidents, hazards, and corrective actions

· Lead safety supplier/vendor relations, including identification/selection & scheduling

· Maintain compliance with state and federal safety regulations

· Awareness of when to involve senior staff in more complex problems

· Prepare and submit reports regarding accidents, safety performance, and inspection findings

· Stay current on regulatory changes and update company policies and procedures accordingly

Job Requirements

· Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and ANSI standards

· Exceptional ability to multitask

· Regularly models interpersonal, written & oral communication skills
