Job description

An Engineer Trainee assists Operation Engineers in the hotel and trains with Operation Engineers/trade mechanics to learn to maintain the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Specifically, the Engineer Trainee:

  • Learns how to inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.

  • Performs a variety of repair and maintenance and cleaning tasks including HVAC and masonry.

  • Inspects guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance. 

  • Maintains detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments.

  • Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.

    Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention.

Pay Rate: The hourly rate upon hire is $18.25.

Shift pattern: Person must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes AM, PM, weekends and holidays.
