Job description

Position: Senior Environmental Project Manager/Environmental Professional (EP)- Due Diligence

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Position Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Professional (EP) to support our Environmental Due Diligence Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage environmental due diligence projects, provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while serving a variety of stakeholders throughout Michigan.

Primary Functions
  • Manage environmental due diligence projects including Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, BEAs, Due Care evaluations, and related environmental services.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact throughout project life cycle.
  • Communicate with regulators, attorneys, lenders, realtors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior staff.
  • Create and lead project teams utilizing available resources and technical expertise.
  • Conduct environmental file reviews and technical evaluations.
  • Apply ASTM Standards for Environmental Due Diligence and All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) projects.
  • Evaluate and apply Michigan environmental regulations and guidance documents.
  • Develop and evaluate Conceptual Site Models.
  • Perform Data Quality Objective (DQO) evaluations and exposure pathway assessments.
  • Obtain state approvals and prepare associated documentation, including ResAPs, DDCCRs, and other state liability documents.
  • Provide Due Care consulting during construction projects, including soil management, dewatering needs, and engineering controls.
  • Evaluate engineering controls including Vapor Mitigation Systems (VMS), Direct Contact Barriers, and similar systems.
  • Provide technical support related to underground storage tanks (USTs), including removals and reporting requirements.
Desired Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Desired Skills/Experience
  • Must be an EP with the ability to sign off on reports.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
