Job description

Pacific States Environmental Contractors, Inc, Northern California’s premier Environmental Contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to be a part of our successful management team in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have an extensive portfolio of public and private projects that will provide you with the opportunity to challenge and grow in your career as a Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

Reporting to a Project Manager, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Critical Path Method, rolling 3 week and 9 Day Scheduling.
  • Cost estimating of work activities.
  • Daily project cost accrual and weekly cost report management.
  • Engrossing self in company safety culture of Production Risk Management.
  • Subcontractor scheduling and management of safety and work performance.
  • Submittal production and project logging: potential change orders, pictures, change orders, extra work time & materials.
  • Able to travel and live away from home for up to a year at a time.
  • Other duties as directed by the Project Manager.
Qualifications Required
  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Construction Management.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels.
Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing safety and construction projects.

Total compensation package includes the following: Pay (base salary) from $80,000/year (depending on qualifications)
