Job description


Prestige Environmental LLC is an environmental contractor specializing in commercial and residential, Asbestos Abatement , as well as Mold Remediation, Lead Paint Abatement and Water Mitigation.

As an Asbestos Technician you will remove hazardous building materials from residential and/or commercial structures, such as asbestos, lead paint and mold.

Responsibilities

  • Set up plastic barriers and safety equipment to contain asbestos.
  • Safely remove and dispose of asbestos following OSHA and company safety rules.
  • Wear required safety equipment, including respirators and protective suits.
  • Clean work areas so they are safe to use again.
  • Keep accurate daily records of work completed.
  • Work with your team to complete projects safely and on time.
  • Perform water extraction, demolition, and cleanup
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration)
  • Take moisture readings and document job progress
  •  Maintain clean and safe job sites
  • Respond to emergency service calls when needed
  • Work closely with crew leaders and project managers
  • Construct negative pressure enclosure for abatement or encapsulation of various hazardous materials
  • You are responsible for the daily functions of proper abatement in accordance with OSHA, AQMD and other regulatory agencies
  • Loading hazardous material onto company trucks

Requirements

•      Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

•      Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in fast-paced environments

•      Strong work ethic and attention to detail

•      Restoration/remediation experience preferred

•      IICRC certification is a plus

•      Asbestos Abatement experience is a plus

•      Construction experience is a plus

•      Current California Asbestos Abatement Certificate required

•      Positive, "can-do" attitude.

•      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•      Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, and drug/alcohol screening

Schedule: 8 hour shift -Monday to Friday -Weekend availability
