Description
Markon is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support an Intelligence Community customer at a major campus in Huntsville, Alabama. This role provides project management and space management support across the Facilities Project Management enterprise. This role will manage projects from inception through closeout, supporting construction, space planning, and stakeholder coordination efforts in a complex, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage construction and facilities projects from initiation through physical and financial closeout.
  • Develop and execute project management plans, schedules, and status reporting.
  • Collect requirements, develop scopes of work, and support acquisition planning and execution with CO/COTR.
  • Review contractor proposals, shop drawings, and submittals; provide recommendations and technical evaluations.
  • Conduct pre-bid, pre-construction site visits, and construction inspections to ensure compliance with design specs, codes, and safety standards.
  • Oversee project execution, including design reviews, change requests (CCRs), and contractor performance.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support enterprise space management, including space planning, requirements prioritization, and data analysis.
  • Lead coordination meetings, including UAR meetings, and develop stakeholder briefings and reports.
  • Track project documentation, transmittals, and communications, including weekly status reports.
  • Assist with development of space management strategies and provide metrics on space utilization.
  • Support contract closeout activities, including punch lists and Contractor Performance Reports (CPRs).

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex construction or facilities projects.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, and status reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., architects, engineers, contractors).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desired:
  • PMP certification.

Salary Range
USD $110,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
