Job description

Position Summary: Manages and provides customer service and technical support for a variety of environmental, health, and safety projects, specializing in environmental compliance. Position Responsibilities: Manage environmental compliance projects including sampling, permitting, auditing, reporting, plan development, inspections, and training
Manage environmental, health, and safety COOPs Conduct compliance audits and assessments Prepare written compliance related reports and documents such as SPCC Plans, SWP3 Plans, Facility Response Plans, Air Emissions Inventories, Air Permit Applications, Tier IIs, Form Rs, and Construction Approvals and Permits File reports with the appropriate state and/or federal agency Prepare waste determinations Submit quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports on behalf of clients Conduct training for a variety of environmental topics Develop knowledge of client facilities and operations Provide customer service to a variety of client representatives and local, state, and federal agencies Perform project management related tasks such as cost and budget estimation, planning, and scheduling Participate on the emergency response team Participate in preparing proposals Contact and contract with various subcontractors Assist with other environmental, health, and safety projects Develop and maintain knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations Operate motor vehicles safely and in accordance with applicable regulations Supervise 1-4 technicians and/or scientists on projects Conduct technical review of environmental compliance documents Provide additional support as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in scientific, engineering, or related field AND 5 years experience in environmental regulatory compliance
2 years project management experience Knowledge - Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations related to air, water, and waste
Basic knowledge of and experience with state and federal health and safety regulations preferred Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong public speaking skills Organizational Skills - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Attention to detail Certifications and Training - 40-hour HAZWOPER training
CHMM or other professional certification preferred Computer Skills - Strong computer skills, particularly utilizing Microsoft Office applications Interpersonal Skills - Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work in teams Driving - Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
