Job description

Earth Smart Environmental Solutions is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to collect hazardous, nonhazardous and universal waste from the Dallas VA Medical Center and surrounding associated clinics. The great match candidate will collect waste at satellite accumulation areas throughout the campus twice each month and transfer to a central accumulation area. This position requires 24 hours per week with the potential for more in the future.

Other essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Transfer liquid waste from small containers (1-5 gal) to large containers (55 gal drums)
  • Document compliance audits and reports for designated representative
  • Help Field Chemist/Driver load transport vehicle
  • Develop client relations with customers through effective communication

Qualifications:

  • CDL Class A or B not required but is a plus
  • Driver's License
  • Experience in hazardous waste is a plus
  • DOT HAZMAT transportation regulation knowledge is a plus
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Must be able to able to lift or move heavy drums and other containers
