Job description

The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced Systems Administrator – Level II to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Systems Administrator – Level II

Location: San Angelo, Texas (AFB)

Clearance Level: TS/SCI eligible for Poly

Duties and responsibilities

The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for:

  • Plan, coordinate, and install software applications and hardware peripherals across Windows and Linux environments
  • Administer and configure COTS and mission-specific applications
  • Optimize system performance and functionality across hardware and software platforms
  • Ensure availability, integrity, reliability, and efficiency of servers, workstations, and storage systems
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and system administration guides
  • Install, support, and maintain desktop and server operating systems, hardware, and software
  • Coordinate planned outages and communicate with impacted users
  • Responding to unplanned outages and service interruptions
  • Diagnoses and resolve hardware and software issues to completion
  • Implement and maintain security controls and preventative measures
  • Monitor and improve system performance
  • Test and validate OS/software updates, patches, and hotfixes prior to deployment
  • Manage user accounts (add/remove/update), including password resets and email setup
  • Provide end-user support and technical guidance for system issues
  • Deliver cradle-to-grave incident management across TRG networks
  • Perform hardware repairs on servers and client systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues
  • Provide on-site support as needed
  • Support the integration of new technologies (planning, testing, and implementation)
