GEOTILL, Inc. is actively seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead and expand our environmental consulting practice in Fishers, Indiana. This pivotal role offers a significant opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive project success, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the strategic growth of our firm.

Position Overview

The Senior Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution and management of a diverse portfolio of environmental projects. This includes overseeing all phases from proposal development and client acquisition to project completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in environmental consulting, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental projects, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation projects, regulatory compliance, and hazardous waste management.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and preparing compelling proposals.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all deliverables.
  • Conduct comprehensive environmental investigations, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Mentor and develop junior environmental staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical and other engineering teams on multidisciplinary projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with at least 3-5 years in a project management role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Professional Geologist (PG) license is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Phase I and Phase II ESAs, remediation strategies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and proposals.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Experience with business development and client acquisition.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to client satisfaction.
