Title: Test Data Environment Manager

Location: Rosemont, IL

Job Type: 6+ Months Contract

 

Job Details:

  • Responsible for complex problem solving, solution design, architecture, planning of Test data/Environment Management as well as coordination between the business, test and development teams.
  • Plans and oversees the technical transitions between development, testing and production. 
  • Establish and enforce processes to ensure a consistent, well managed and integrated Test data/Environment.
  • Ensure processes, services, business rules are aligned with best practices and company standards with respect to performance and governance. 
  • Comprehends the test data needs and concerns for multiple workstreams, test groups and development support.
  • Manages the documentation and implementation of test data policies and procedures. 
  • Makes recommendations on strategies for improving or leveraging applications to provide additional value. 
  • Advanced understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution and planning  
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical associates in the company  
  • Strong ability to work across project teams and develop positive working relationships with peers and senior management  
  • Estimate efforts to support develop of project schedules and resource assignments. 
  • Keep abreast of new technologies. 
  • Prepare detailed Test Data plan and track schedule
  • Defining QA dashboard and reporting engagement performance
  • Identify dependencies, constraints, risks and issues
  • Handle escalations / project issues
  • Reviewing and providing inputs for all the testing related artifacts
  • Administer project change control
  • Managing the project level risks
  • Facilitate root cause analysis

Related Experience/Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience with design/architecting, developing and implementing data.
  • Requires a background in test data strategies, test data mining, solution management and planning.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player
  • Track record of working on successful software development projects/products
  • Experience of working on iterative/agile projects
  • Experience of one or more of the following: Test Data Management, Test Environment Management, Virtual Services, Test Data profiling, testing and Masking
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of data provisioning using writing and maintaining data creation/deletion scripts
  • Experience of data masking

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Should have worked any of technologies any TDM tool (IBM InfoSphere Optim, LISA, Delphix, Informatica BizDataX)
  • Should have Strong TDM & TEM conceptual knowledge.
  • Must be good in SQL Queries and have hands on experience on any one or more DB (SQL MP, .
  • Establishing the Test data/Environment Management Charter to support an iterative, repeatable process to create, maintain and protect data in non-production environments that supports end to end testing of key business processes
  • Responsible for implementation of advanced testing practices to improve quality and reduce overall cost and ensure the protection of data
  • Should have strong experience on Multiple Databases Integration & Upgrade projects.
  • Strong experience on test data Strategy/concepts/solutions on Data profiling/Data Masking/Data Integrating.
  • Experience in handling of production data.
