What you will do:

1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in
behaviors, practices, and decisions.
2. Provides training, mentoring, and ongoing support to new employees and assists in directing workflow
as needed to ensure efficiency and quality.
3. Guides intern personnel in the performance of their duties and supports ongoing quality assurance and
adherence to established standards and procedures.
4. Monitors intern workflow and regularly reviews training materials and workflow documentation, making
updates and improvements as necessary to support operational effectiveness.
5. Coordinates intern staffing and work assignments in collaboration with the Intern Manager and/or
designated scheduler to ensure appropriate coverage and workload distribution.
6. Serves as a resource for staff questions and maintains comprehensive knowledge of processes and
procedures applicable to pharmacy technicians and interns.
7. Organizes and supports intern participation in departmental projects and initiatives.
8. Schedules and facilitates regular meetings with intern staff and leadership to promote communication,
feedback, and alignment of goals

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
3. Must be registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the State of Iowa.
4. One (1) year of Pharmacy experience in a hospital environment preferred.
5. Basic Life Support certified within three (3) months of hire.
6. Completion of required Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandatory Reporter
training based on the population served within three (3) months of hire
