Environmental Compliance Coordinator – Northeast Region

PMG is seeking an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to support environmental operations across the Northeast region, including NJ, PA, DE, NY, CT, NH, and MA. The region consists of approximately 150 stations. This role is responsible for managing environmental compliance activities, coordinating corrective actions, supporting remediation and monitoring programs, and ensuring adherence to applicable state and local environmental regulations. The position will also support environmental performance data collection, contractor oversight, and regulatory reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate compliance testing and ensure all required testing is completed on schedule
  • Support and manage regulatory inspections across assigned Northeast locations
  • Review and validate environmental testing documentation submitted by vendors
  • Track and manage all Notices of Violation (NOVs) and ensure timely corrective action
  • Maintain and oversee state and local environmental licenses and permits
  • Monitor site repairs related to environmental or compliance deficiencies
  • Assist with planning, oversight, and coordination of contractor-led environmental projects
  • Review, approve, and reconcile environmental-related invoices
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements with environmental vendors
  • Work closely with the maintenance team on day-to-day environmental issues and site needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in environmental compliance, remediation, or regulatory operations
  • The ideal candidate must reside in the New England area, preferably Connecticut (CT) or Massachusetts (MA)
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations across the Northeast region, including DEP agency processes
  • Experience with petroleum industry compliance (UST/AST systems, vapor recovery, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Ability to interpret regulatory documentation and manage compliance deadlines
  • Experience coordinating with contractors and regulatory inspectors
  • Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned Northeast region as needed
