Building Envelope Consultant

Location: Portland, OR | FullTime

Seeking a Building Envelope Consultant to support building science, envelope assessment, and restoration projects for multifamily, commercial, and institutional properties. This role combines investigation, technical analysis, and constructionphase support for both existing buildings and new construction.


Responsibilities
  • Perform building enclosure investigations, condition assessments, and leak analyses
  • Support restoration and rehabilitation design efforts
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and construction monitoring
  • Assist with technical reports, client communication, and consultant coordination

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with building envelopes, restoration, or exterior construction
  • Experience with faades, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, and enclosure systems
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards, and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and performing regular site visits

Preferred
  • Background in building science or envelope consulting
  • Experience with existingbuilding assessments and remediation
  • Professional licensure or progress toward licensure
