Position Overview

Circle B Measurement & Fabrication is seeking a detail‐driven QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities across our measurement, piping, and fabrication operations. This role ensures all fabricated components—including meter tubes, spools, structural elements, and measurement assemblies—meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry codes.

The ideal candidate brings hands‐on inspection experience, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to work independently in a fast‐paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document pre‐fit, post‐fit, and post‐weld inspections on piping, structural, and measurement assemblies.
  • Verify compliance with WPS, PQRs, MTRs, ITPs, fabrication drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections (VT) and coordinate PT, MT, RT, UT with third‐party NDE providers.
  • Review welds, fit‐ups, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication details for accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete inspection reports using Excel‐based, pre‐designed QA/QC spreadsheets.
  • Validate material heat numbers, traceability, and documentation packages.
  • Support NCR creation, corrective actions, and re‐inspection activities.
  • Work closely with fabrication, welding, engineering, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain organized, audit‐ready QA/QC documentation for each job.
  • Uphold Circle B’s quality standards and ensure compliance with applicable codes and customer requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of QA/QC inspection experience in industrial fabrication, piping, structural steel, and similar environments.
  • Ability to perform and document pre‐fit, post‐fit, and post‐weld inspections.
  • Proficiency with Excel‐based inspection forms and structured QA/QC documentation.
  • Experience reviewing and verifying WPS, PQRs, MTRs, ITPs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with NDE methods: VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, and coordination with third‐party inspectors.
  • Ability to work independently in a shop/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in oil & gas measurement fabrication (meter tubes, orifice fittings, sample systems, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, and customer‐specific fabrication standards.
  • Understanding of weld symbols, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
  • Experience supporting QA/QC packages for custody‐transfer measurement equipment.

Work Environment

  • Fabrication shop environment with regular interaction with welders, fitters, project managers, and engineering.
  • Fast‐paced production supporting measurement skids, meter tubes, piping spools, and custom fabrication projects.
  • Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
