Job description

Job Title: Entry Level Fiber Optic Technician - High-Count Cable Installation (Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN)
Location: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
Job Summary
KCI is seeking able-bodied, physically capable technicians to support a large-scale high-count fiber optic cable installation project at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans. This project involves pulling and installing several hundred thousand feet of heavy, high-count fiber cable throughout the stadium, working extensively from lifts and basket trays at height. This is a physically demanding, labor-intensive role - candidates must be prepared for sustained manual labor in a construction environment, comfortable working at heights, and able to perform both active cable-pulling duties and lift-spotting responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
  • Pull and install high-count, heavy fiber optic cable throughout the stadium, including runs through basket cable trays
  • Work from aerial lifts (boom/scissor lifts) to install cable at height throughout the venue
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy cable reels and materials in a physically demanding construction environment
  • Serve as a lift spotter for coworkers operating aerial lifts - this includes extended periods of standing/monitoring for safety, sometimes for a full shift
  • Follow all site safety protocols and procedures at all times, particularly around lift operation and working at heights
  • Maintain focus and safety awareness during spotting duties, even when the task is repetitive or less physically active than cable-pulling
  • Work collaboratively with a team to meet daily production goals across a large venue
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project

Required Qualifications
  • Able-bodied and physically capable of sustained manual labor, including pulling and lifting heavy cable for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at heights and operating from or being present on aerial lifts
  • Willingness and ability to perform lift-spotting duties, including extended periods of standing and sustained attention
  • Prior experience with fiber optic cable installation preferred, but candidates with strong general construction/physical labor backgrounds and a willingness to learn will be considered
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a large venue/stadium construction environment
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work a full physical labor shift

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy cable and materials regularly throughout each shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods
  • Comfortable with heights and working from/around aerial lifts
  • Ability to remain alert and safety-focused during extended spotting duties

PPE Requirements
  • Full PPE required at all times on site
  • Company will reimburse for required PPE, with the exception of boots, which are the responsibility of the technician

Why This Role
This is a high-volume, fast-paced project at one of Nashville's premier venues - a great fit for technicians who want steady, physically active work and don't mind the demands of a large-scale stadium build. Strong performance on this project can lead to future placement opportunities with KCI on similar large-venue and data center projects nationwide.
