Job description

Job Description: Java Backend Developer

Location: Detroit or Charlotte

*IN-PERSON interview mandatory either from Charlotte, NC (preferred) or Detroit, MI or Lewisville, TX

Required Skills (Must Have)

  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java for developing enterprise-level applications.
  • Good understanding of major Java 8 features such as Lambda expressions, Stream API, Functional Interfaces, Optional, Method References, and Date/Time API, with the ability to apply them effectively in application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka Broker, including understanding of messaging concepts, producers, consumers, topics, and event-driven application patterns.
  • Good understanding of ActiveMQ messaging concepts, including queues, topics, message producers/consumers, and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring MVC and Spring Boot frameworks for developing scalable backend applications.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs.
  • Good experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Camel for application integration, routing, and message processing.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands for application support, troubleshooting, and deployments.
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.

Good to Have

  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
