Job Overview
Work schedule: 1st Shift (11pm-7am)
Job location: Onsite - Grand Rapids MI
Role: The Forklift Driver is responsible for managing the preparation, loading, receipt, shipment, handling and storage of materials in compliance with standards. setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. They operate equipment safely in a facility that has both warehouse and active production space. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preperation and loading of shipments as well as associated documents
  • Check the quantity and quality of goods received
  • Update, check and keep inventory of stock
  • Manage internal handling operations at production areas
  • Package and identify parts produced and affix labels, Validate conformity between the product and product labels
  • Ensure the conformity and cleanliness of his/her work area
  • Perform all work within the established health and safety guidelines

Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: HS diploma preferred
  • Experience: Forklift operation experience required. General experience in manufacturing, with preference given to experience in plastic injection molding production
  • Manual dexterity to operate material handling equipment. Near vision to handle small parts and to detect visual defects, normal color vision and depth perception capability
  • Ability to earn and maintain an active hilo operation permit
  • Ability to take direction from others, communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reading and basic math comprehension to understand and interpret training guides, standard operating procedures and quality information (SPC, charts, graphs, etc.) and to complete logistics reports
