Job description

Geotechnician
The ideal candidate would be able to hike rigorous terrain while carrying or moving up to 40 pounds.

Requirements / Qualifications

- Prefer experience with channel sampling or some experience with mining sites.
- Must own good outdoor work boots/hiking boots
- Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential job function.
- Must possess and display strong organizational skills
- Must be able to take directions and practice good judgment
- Must be able to prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner
- Must be able to adapt well to change and work well under pressure.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to develop and maintain awareness of and identify occupational and safety hazards.
- Must maintain the highest regard for and commitment to teamwork, safety and following protocol.
- Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors.
- Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass Reference Check, Background Check and Drug Screen.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 40lbs, and sometimes carry 40lbs over rough terrain throughout shift
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk routinely throughout shift.
- Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, twist, kneel, squat, and stoop to complete tasks.
- Must be able to walk and carry tools/materials on uneven surfaces outdoors.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various types of weather, including extreme heat and high winds.

This position is deemed safety sensitive.
