Responsibilities
Meritage Homes in conjunction with Carefree Title Agency, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Escrow Officer in Houston!
The Assistant Escrow Officer is responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Open new builder escrows in Qualia, which includes initial entry of contract information, scanning of contract documents into the system for multiple States.
  • Order statements from HOA Management Companies
  • Order and send out title commitments and lender title requests
  • Upload and process all items received through Qualia Work Queues
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties to assist in the escrow process
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations of escrow within all operations

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years of escrow experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase agreements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of organization
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently
