Job description

Established in 1960, T&T Body King continues to grow and offer services across the Northeast. To keep up with demand, we are continually upgrading and expanding our 24 bay facility in Latham, and looking to open other locations in the future.

A part of our growth is to employ the most skilled, professional and dependable technicians to drive and share in our success.


We hire mechanics of various skill levels (please specify your interest when applying)

Class A Tech (Expert) Tri-axle municipal dump and plow trucks / Commercial Dump Trucks. Requires expert mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, PTO, pump and hydraulic expertise.

Class B Tech (Advanced) 1-Ton dump bodies, utility bodies, flatbeds, liftgates. Requires advanced knowledge of welding, fabrication and mechanical skills

Emergency Lighting Tech (Proficient) Tahoes & Pickups. Requires familiarity with Whelen / Feniex / Havis, power inverters and 12V wiring.

Class C Tech (Proficient) Pick-up’s. Installation and repair of Fisher & Western Plows / Sanders and Strobes

Class D Tech (Entry Level) Van partitions, shelving, ladder racks, backup alarms, running boards, roof lighting and accessories. NOTE: We currently do not have any open Class D spots left, but will be hiring five to seven techs over the winter for a large NYS contract, so apply now and we will keep your resume on file.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (electrical, mechanical)

  • Mechanic experience, strong aptitude and willing to get dirty
  • Positive and helpful attitude, willingness to learn and teach
  • Adhere to garage PPE and company EHS guidelines. (Gloves, Safety footwear, eye protection, noise protection)
  • Good Attendance & drama free, with no substance abuse issues
