Job description

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced .NET Developer located in Madison, WI. Our client is a government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.
 

Interview Process:  •    1st Round Interview will consist of a 60-minute in-person interview, immediately followed by a technical exam for up to 30 minutes (1.5 hrs)

•           2nd Round Interview - A 60-minute in-person interview.

Note: Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI within 30 calendar days of start date.  Local candidates preferred. Headquarters is downtown Madison, WI.  Services to client must be physically completed within the State of Wisconsin including during remote work. Hybrid, on a weekly basis client is currently 60% remote and 40% in the office. Hybrid requirement is weekly not monthly. New contractor must start onsite for a five-day orientation/onboarding. Work cannot be conducted outside the United States.

Top Skills (5) & Years of Experience:

•           Advanced level application development skillsets including analysis, design and development within Microsoft .Net environment. (8+ yrs)

•           Coding experience in .Net framework with MVC including C#, VB.net, JavaScript and Bootstrap. (8+ yrs)

•           Experience applying accessibility and security standards to custom applications. (6+ yrs)

  • Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net environment.
  • Coding experience in .Net framework, MVC including C#, VB.Net JavaScript and Bootstrap.
  • Experience applying Object Oriented Design.
  • Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications.
  • Experience in Power BI for developing reports.
  • Experience creating web APIs.
  • Experience developing applications with relational databases including designing, writing stored procedures, performance tuning and SQL. (Oracle preferred/SQL Server)

1. Experience working Azure DevOps/GIT including keeping work items updated, code management and CI/CD.

  • Experience following coding standards and best practices.
  • Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results.
  • Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices
  • Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

2. Experience in an oncall or production support role.
