Job Title: Mid-Level Software Developer

Location: San Diego, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required

Travel: Minimal (as required)

Position Summary

J2E Technology is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of software applications supporting Department of Defense programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing applications using C+ and Java and possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Experience with Aras Innovator, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, or other enterprise engineering applications is highly desirable but not required. Candidates with a willingness to learn PLM technologies are encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ and Java.
  • Analyze software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop new features and enhance existing software applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, testers, and customer stakeholders.
  • Support software integration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support software modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with system testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance (Preferred). Secret Security Clearance (Required).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3โ€“7 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with:
  • C+
  • Java
  • Experience developing object-oriented applications.
  • Experience using Git or other version control systems.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with Aras Innovator.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience with REST APIs and web services.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
