This position is offering a pay range of $26.07/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Job Description:
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in crop and trial establishment involving measuring and labeling plots, planting/transplanting crops, evaluate plots for efficacy and crop phytotoxicity, assist with irrigation systems, and harvest.
* Mixing and application of crop protection products under the supervision of the Field Operations rep.
* Assist with loading and hauling equipment to research sites in the supervisor�s territory. Perform field trial and equipment maintenance.
* Entry of data into the SCOUT system.
* May operate farm equipment as part of the job. A valid, unrestricted driver�s license is required.
* Assist in planting, pollinating, harvesting, weeding, preparing fields, preparing seed, sampling, detasseling, rogueing, and other field and outdoor seed activities related to crops and fields.
* Assist by carrying out other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Activities will require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing.
* Extended hours or shift work may be requested during the peak seasons.
* Must be able to adhere to all SOPs when carrying out assigned tasks and to support all site safety requirements.
* Must be able to function as a team member, and to take daily direction from supervisors and managers.
* Requirements/Preferences: Education
Minimum Requirement
* HS/GED. Skills & Competency Requirements
* Experience on a farm or agricultural background is preferred along with a general knowledge of computer operating systems.
* A non-commercial or commercial pesticide applicator license in the state of residency is preferred.
