Job Description

The person will work within the engineering department providing support for Project Management and Engineering Team. Individual will be responsible for data entry, invoice tracking, printing OSP facility maps, determniing terminal distances from DSLAMs, right-of-way and easement tracking, various clerical duties. Job Duties

Assist engineers by reviewing detail drawings, creating cost estimates associated with time and materials, requesting CLLI codes, verify/identify circuit information in in-house systems (M6, Saturn)

Serve as liaison between the company and outside agencies such as other telephone companies, Department of Highways, Power Companies, customers in general and property owners.

Assist engineers with plans for new additions for OSP, CO, and TR relief and submissions for budget consideration.

Monitor HSI activity and assist engineers with planning and engineering all HSI additions.

Serve as engineering contact for other departments

Qualifications

Must have a basic knowledge of aerial and buried OSP engineering; fiber transport, and DLC equipment.

Must have strong communication skills both orally and written and attention to detail

Must be proficient with computer applications including CAD records and MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio and Power Point) and must be able to learn new computer programs as required to perform job functions.

Must have High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Physical demands involves working extended hours when necessary and able to work at computer station for extended periods.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a positive manner with team members
