Job description

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion. The primary focus will be on identifying, understanding, and improving business issues and processes within the Retail Energy segment’s markets. This role will contribute to the entry into new markets, acquisitions, product or service development, and process improvements. The incumbent will work closely with business owners and technical resources to define business requirements, assist in solution development, and provide functional subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    Manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. Develop comprehensive project plans and track progress, reporting on status and milestones.
  • Business Process Improvement:
    Identify and help improve business issues and processes within the Retail Energy segment’s markets. Focus on driving entry into new markets, acquisitions, and product or service improvements.
  • Requirements Documentation:
    Define and document business requirements for the projects and solutions. Assist business owners and technical resources in the development of these solutions.
  • Testing Compliance:
    Provide comprehensive test cases and oversee thorough testing to ensure compliance with business processes. Ensure that solutions align with SouthStar’s business needs and standards.
  • Customer Requirements Validation:
    Validate and improve customer requirements by verifying adherence to required functionality in delivered solutions. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage customer change requests.
  • Analytical Support:
    Provide analytical support for measuring operational improvements, ensuring that all improvements are documented and tracked effectively.
  • Customer Process Improvement:

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Experience:
    3-5 years of project management experience, particularly in the Retail Energy sector or related industries. Experience with managing cross-functional projects is preferred.
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of business processes within the Retail Energy segment.
    • Experience in defining business requirements and providing functional expertise.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
