Job description

Position Summary

The Videographer-1 is responsible for capturing high-quality video content that showcases the company's people, projects, culture, and services. This role focuses primarily on filming, with some video editing and management of the company's YouTube channel. Working closely with the Marketing team, the Videographer-1 will help create engaging content for recruiting, social media, project highlights, company events, and internal communications.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working both in an office environment, in fabrication facilities and on active construction sites while following all required safety standards including occasionally wearing Personal Protection Equipment (safety vest, hard hat, boots, safety glasses and safety gloves).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Capture video footage of company projects, employees, events, and job sites.
  • Assist in planning and preparing video shoots, including equipment setup and basic shot planning.
  • Produce video content that highlights company services, culture, safety initiatives, and project milestones.
  • Record interviews featuring employees, customers, and company leadership.
  • Perform basic to intermediate video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Create content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and the company website.
  • Manage and maintain the company YouTube channel, including video uploads, thumbnails, descriptions, playlists, and channel organization.
  • Develop short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms.
  • Operate cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and stabilization tools.
  • Organize and maintain digital media files and video archives.
  • Travel to project sites and company locations as needed to capture content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with company branding and messaging standards.
  • Support multiple content projects while meeting established deadlines.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting events, employee activities, and company celebrations through video coverage.
  • Assist with internal training and safety communication videos.
  • Help maintain video equipment and production supplies.
  • Recommend content ideas and new approaches to improve engagement and channel growth.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Regularly stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate cameras, computers, and other equipment.
  • Frequently lift and carry video equipment up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, or navigate active construction sites.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to monitor camera and computer screens for extended periods.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of videography, video editing, content creation, or related experience
  • Demonstrate capability in video production through online examples or portfolio
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software
  • Familiarity with camera operation and basic lighting and audio equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing or creating content for YouTube channels.
  • Experience creating short-form social media content.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud products.
  • Experience filming construction, trades, industrial, manufacturing, or field operations environments.
  • FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
