As the Technology Specialist, you will: Develop, configure, test, debug, and implement custom software applications, enterprise solutions, system integrations, and enhancements for both in-house and commercial off-the-shelf applications supporting County business operations. Design and maintain SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server solutions utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio, Server-Side Object Model (SSOM), Client-Side Object Model (CSOM), REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and Office 365 technologies. Create and enhance document management, metadata automation, retention, and records management solutions that improve compliance and operational efficiency.

Develop custom WordPress plugins and web-based applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, the WordPress Plugin API, REST API, custom post types, and secure database development practices. Implement modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell scripting, Power Automate workflows, and related automation technologies to streamline business processes. Analyze existing business applications and information systems to identify opportunities for enhancements, improved functionality, and increased operational effectiveness.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise applications by diagnosing technical issues, resolving software and system problems, and ensuring reliable system performance. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, input/output controls, user guides, training materials, and operational procedures. Collaborate with project teams, technical staff, business users, and leadership by providing project updates, technical recommendations, and implementation support throughout the software development lifecycle.

Provide technical leadership and guidance by serving as a resource for lower-level technical staff and business users regarding enterprise applications, development standards, and best practices. Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions that promote effective use of applications, development methodologies, and technology solutions. Support multiple concurrent projects by managing priorities, tracking assignments, participating in collaborative planning efforts, and meeting established project deadlines.

Research and evaluate emerging technologies, programming techniques, and industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions that enhance County technology services. What You Bring: Educational Excellence Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is required. Technical & Industry Background Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience developing, supporting, or maintaining software applications, enterprise systems, or related technology solutions.

Experience supporting enterprise environments involving software installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and application support. Working knowledge of structured software development methodologies, systems analysis, application design, testing, and implementation practices. Specialized Expertise Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and SharePoint Server-Side Object Model (SSOM) for on-premises SharePoint development.

Experience developing modern SharePoint Online solutions utilizing CSOM, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and Office 365 technologies. Experience implementing document lifecycle management, metadata automation, records management, and retention solutions within SharePoint environments. Experience developing custom WordPress plugins using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, the WordPress Plugin API, REST API, custom post types, metadata management, and secure database interactions.

Working knowledge of PowerShell, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, and workflow automation technologies is highly desirable. Strong troubleshooting skills involving desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, and enterprise technologies. Leadership & Project Collaboration Ability to provide technical guidance and serve as a resource for junior technical staff and business users.

Experience collaborating within project teams while contributing to software development, implementation, documentation, testing, and ongoing support. Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate project status effectively. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising professionalism, tact, and discretion. Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise content management and digital collaboration environments.

Experience delivering user training and promoting technology adoption. Knowledge of business process improvement and workflow automation methodologies. Familiarity with React, the WordPress Gutenberg Block Framework, and Node/npm development pipelines.
