Job Title: Lead React Developer
Location: Seattle, WA
Work Mode: Onsite/Hybrid
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead React Developer to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance, and modern web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend architecture, APIs, and cloud-based application development. This individual will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, establish frontend best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level web applications using React.js.
  • Define and implement scalable frontend architecture, reusable components, and coding standards.
  • Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Engineers, and Architects.
  • Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Design and integrate applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend services.
  • Implement state management using tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, Zustand, or similar frameworks.
  • Optimize application performance, accessibility, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Develop and maintain reusable component libraries and frontend design systems.
  • Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and application monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot complex frontend issues and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements to the technology stack.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 9+ years of overall software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React Hooks, and functional components.
  • Experience leading frontend development teams and providing technical leadership.
  • Strong understanding of React architecture, component lifecycle, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
  • Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL integration.
  • Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, or npm/yarn.
  • Strong experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Next.js and Server-Side Rendering (SSR).
  • Experience building and maintaining Design Systems or Component Libraries.
  • Knowledge of Micro Frontend Architecture.
  • Experience with Node.js is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native and containerized application development.
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Frontend Developer, or Lead React Engineer.
Education
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
