Christiana Cabinetry is a custom cabinetry manufacturer founded in 1976, specializing in high-end, bespoke cabinetry and built-in woodwork. The company partners closely with designers, architects, and homeowners to create refined, functional interiors tailored to each project. We've built our reputation through craftsmanship, discretion, and long-standing client relationships.

What You'll Do as an Entry-Level Woodworker:

  • Learn the cabinetry trade through paid, on-the-job training.
  • Start as an apprentice in the sanding department, working alongside experienced woodworkers.
  • Sand cabinetry to prepare pieces for the finish department.
  • Complete basic putty work, minor repairs, and taping as needed.
  • Inspect your work and fix any defects before pieces move to the next stage.
  • Use sanding tools and equipment safely and follow shop procedures.
  • Help in other production areas as your skills grow and you cross-train.
  • Keep your work area clean and return tools and equipment at the end of each shift.

Our Ideal Entry-Level Woodworker:

  • Experience: Entry-level role; no prior cabinetry experience required, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in building a long-term career in woodworking are essential—high school diploma required.
  • Eager to learn: Motivated to develop new skills, take direction, and grow through hands-on, on-the-job training.
  • Reliable: Shows up consistently, meets production expectations, and can be counted on to follow through.
  • Detail-oriented: Pays attention to quality and takes pride in doing careful, accurate work.
  • Team-oriented: Works well with others, maintains a positive attitude, and is willing to help where needed.
  • Adaptable: Open to learning different tasks and helping in various production areas as skills develop.
  • Active: Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. in an active, hands-on shop environment.

What We Offer Our Entry-Level Woodworker:

  • $18.50-$22.00/h, depending on experience
  • 4-day work week (Mon-Thursday 6:30 am-5 pm, Fridays are optional overtime)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Simple 401(k) plan with a match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • End-of-year profit-sharing bonus
  • Paid, on-the-job training in a teaching shop environment
  • Opportunities to learn, cross-train, and advance within the shop
  • 90-day and annual performance reviews, with eligibility for pay increases
  • Company apparel
